Fitness for Work Policy


GC Tilt Trays P/L is committed to providing a safe, healthy & productive workplace across our whole business operation. Fatigue, stress, drugs & alcohol can affect a person’s health, wellbeing, and their ability to perform their daily tasks safety and productively and can also impact on the safety of others at work.

It is essential that a worker is fit for the essential requirements of their daily tasks, and their judgement is not
impaired by any fatigue, stress, drugs, or alcohol while at work.

 

To achieve our objectives, GCTT focuses on:

  • Ensure all employees, visitors and other essential workers are aware of this policy.

  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all workers/visitors.

  • Identify workers presenting for work or conducting work while impaired.

  • Provide access to conventional counselling through the various support services available.

  • Ensure all consultation always remains confidential, between the worker and support services in the ongoing prevention, education, counselling, and rehabilitation of any worker affected or those that voluntarily seek assistance.

  • Establish steps to manage workers, who are affected by fatigue, stress, alcohol, or other drugs.

  • Ensuring impaired individuals are fit for employment upon return to work.

  • Make certain, that all workers are aware that they must not operate any motorised vehicle or plant and equipment whilst impaired.

 

GCTT Personnel and Contractors:

Apply at all time, safe work practices’ and comply with all Work Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Possess a duty of care to themselves and others in the workplace at all times.
Does not take part in a manner of which may put themselves and others at risk.
Must advise GCTT Management before commencing work, of any condition or medication which may compromise the workers ability to perform their duties safely.
Report to Management, if in their opinion, any other worker may be unfit for work.
